We debated lining the inside of this dopp bag with some waxed canvas but we just couldn't bring ourselves to hide the beauty of the leather. Rather, we chose to hand-wax the "flesh side" inside of the bag. This is a time-consuming process of melting all natural beeswax, brushing it on and then heating it so that the leather absorbs the wax. This allows the inside of the bag to retain the beauty of the natural leather while repelling water and staining. This truly is a gift that will be used and loved for a lifetime!
